Laurent Koscielny was the Gunners new defender from Ligue 1 side, Fc Lorient that has been sign up by Arsene Wenger during the summer transfer window of 2010 in way to overcome the weakness at the back four, due to the lack of high quality centre back after Senderos leave for Fulham and Gallas for Spurs.

when should i start mr wenger its been too long ....

Koscielny handed the Arsenal no.6 shirt from Senderos and has been rotated with Squillaci to play a role at the centre back before has been pairing with Johan Djourou.

On the early action he has been critics by the the gooners because of the poor performance especially when deal with opponent and make a tackle. He has been sent off during his first debut against Liverpool at Anfield after booked by 2 yellow card.

Untill now he has been booked by 4 yellow card and 2 red card. Koscielny performance has been improve day by day, He scored his first goal for Arsenal  in a 4–1 win against Bolton and the his second goal in Premierleague came as the winner in a 2-1 turn around victory over Everton with a header at the Emirates.

Laurent Koscielny has been called into the France squad for the first time, ending any chance he had of representing Poland. The gunners man, originally from Tulle, France, is eligible to play forLes Blues side when Laurent Blanc announcing his squad for next  friendly fixtures with Brazil at the Stade de France including Laurent Koscielny and Manchester United defender Patrice Evra was not selected by national team boss Laurent Blanc in his 23-man squad for the upcoming game.

Evra is eligible for selection after serving a five-match ban for his part in the revolt in France’s World Cup squad in South Africa last year. Koscielny is one of four Arsenal players in the squad, joining fellow defenders Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy and midfielder Abou Diaby.
